I’m Mettie. This is Sean. We’re newly married and still trying to learn not to hog the covers. I love decorating on our we’re-swimming-in-student-loans budget. I never met a DIY project I didn’t like, but I’ve definitely met some that schooled me and sent me home crying. Nothing is more fun than cooking yummy food whether it hales from my mom’s Family Cookbook or East Africa. Lazy Saturdays make me happy, but not as happy as red velvet cake with a marshmallow frosting. Sean is the Smarty McSmarterson that corrects my grammar, keeps me grounded in reality, and taste tests all my cooking. He loves road trips, outdoor cooking, college football, and rousing games of 42, but his besties in life are me, Rox, his family, and cake balls. Someday, we’re going to quit our jobs and sail through the Caribbean. At least, if we ever learn to sail, that’s the plan. Oh, yeah, and we’re both lawyers “on the side.”
While Sean and I like to think we’re the decision makers in the family, this tiny terror/adorable bit of goodness really runs the place. She barks and we ask “How high?” Look at that face. It’s just so sweet and smooshable, but don’t be fooled: she’s a mercenary inside.
